The Ocean Lodge
Cannon Beach, Oregon – The magic of this property is its rare oceanfront location, its spectacular architecture and its tasteful, fun beach interiors. Located right on the ocean in Cannon Beach, it is the culture of The Lodge that guests continue to rave about. It’s a culture of caring and attention to detail that drives its extraordinary reputation for excellence, warmth and hospitality.
The Ocean Lodge hints of a 1920’s era beach resort with sloping rooflines, large wrap-around verandas and stunning unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean and Haystack Rocks. 37 oceanfront guest accommodations are housed in the main lodge with an additional eight sited in the companion bungalow buildings across our drive. Massive rough-hewn Douglas fir wood columns and beams grace the lobby, with beautiful reclaimed hardwood floors, anchored by our focal point – a massive river-rock, wood-burning fireplace. Upstairs a library with a fireplace of its own is filled with old tombs of classic literature, fresh bound and bright modern literature, beach reads and romance for our guests to enjoy. Coffee table books are scattered throughout the public spaces, as well as local and regional art. The library overlooks the lobby and frames the entrance to our breakfast room, which features our signature hand blown glass chandelier by regional artist Andy Nichols. At night when guests arrive, the massive display windows glow with this spectacularly colorful glass sculpture, hinting that whimsy is afoot at The Ocean Lodge.
